I'm excited to help you succeed on your nursing entrance exams, through nursing school, on your NCLEX, and as a new grad nurse! This page will walk you through everything you need to know about tutoring with me and help you choose the best option for your goals.
How Tutoring Works
Come Prepared With:
β Your course materials (PowerPoints, textbooks, practice questions)
β Specific questions or topics you're struggling with
β Any recent exams or assignments to review
My approach: I focus on teaching you the "how" and "why" behind concepts, not just quick fixes. You'll need to actively participate and do the work - I'm here to guide you to success!

Once you book a Regular session, I will manually lower your Wyzant rate to $65/hr. You may convert to Premium Membership at any time, even if you start out with Regular.

I support students through their entire nursing journey! This includes:

5 days per week, 6 hours per day including weekends (days vary based on my variable hospital schedule of 2 days per week). I'm typically booked 5-10 days in advance, especially during busy seasons (Feb-June and Aug-Nov). I'm rarely available for same-day or next-day appointments, so please plan ahead!

Every other week or weekly works best for most students. I can accommodate up to 4 hours per week per student if you need intensive support. Premium Members must schedule at least once per month to maintain their membership benefits.

Payment is automatic through Wyzant after each session - you don't need to bring cash or handle payment during our session. However, you must have valid payment information on file in your Wyzant account at least 48 hours before your scheduled session, or your session will be cancelled.
Important payment requirements:
β Valid credit/debit card on file in Wyzant
β Payment info updated at least 48 hours before session
β Sufficient funds/credit available
β οΈ Sessions will be cancelled if payment cannot be processed

I handle all scheduling through Acuity (my external scheduling system) rather than Wyzant's built-in calendar. If you receive a confirmation email from Acuity, you are officially scheduled. Your lesson will not appear in your Wyzant "Scheduled Lessons" because I would need to manually input every session from Acuity into Wyzant and update them each time there's a cancellation or reschedule - this would be inefficient and create potential for errors.
To confirm you're scheduled:
β Look for your Acuity confirmation email
β Check your calendar for the Zoom link (sent in confirmation)
β Watch for Acuity reminder emails before your session

You can cancel or reschedule using the links in your Acuity confirmation or reminder emails or by contacting me directly.
Cancellation/rescheduling requirements:
Regular students: 48+ hours advance notice required
Premium Members: 24+ hours advance notice required
Cancellations or reschedules with less notice than this will be charged the full price of the lesson. This policy ensures I can offer your time slot to other students who need support.
