The NCLEX Is a Different Kind of Test

It's not about memorizing diseases — it's about how you think. Most NCLEX prep teaches you content. The NCLEX tests your judgment.

📚

You know the content but fail the questions

You studied hard. You know the material. But the way NCLEX asks questions is completely different from how you learned in nursing school — and that gap is what trips people up.

🔄

The NGN changed everything

The Next Generation NCLEX introduced new question types — bowtie, matrix, extended drag-and-drop — that require you to think through entire clinical scenarios, not just pick the best answer.

You're running out of time

Whether you're testing soon or retaking after a near pass, every day waiting is a day of anxiety and stalled career plans. You need a strategy, not just more practice questions.

You don't know what you don't know

It's hard to fix a gap you can't identify. Without someone to review your thinking process (not just your answers), you keep making the same types of mistakes without knowing why.

The New NCLEX Requires a New Way of Studying

Since April 2023, the NCLEX has included NGN question types that require higher-order clinical reasoning — not just knowledge recall. I specialize in teaching the cognitive framework behind each question type so you can approach them confidently, not just guess your way through.

How I Approach NCLEX Prep Differently

Most prep resources teach you content. I teach you how to think. There's a big difference.

🧠

Clinical Judgment First

Every session is built around the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. You'll learn to recognize cues, analyze information, prioritize hypotheses, and select the best intervention — the actual framework NCLEX uses to score you.

🏥

I'm Still a Working Nurse

I work postpartum and antepartum bedside shifts every week. The clinical reasoning I teach isn't just test prep — it's how I think at work. That authenticity comes through in how I explain concepts.

🎯

I Passed the NGN in 85 Questions

I took the Next Generation NCLEX — not the old version. I know exactly what the current exam feels like, what NGN questions actually look like in practice, and what it takes to pass it quickly.

🔍

I Find Your Specific Reasoning Gaps

I don't give you a generic study plan. I watch you work through questions in real time and identify exactly where your clinical reasoning breaks — whether it's the cue recognition step, prioritization, or something else entirely.

📋

NGN Question Type Mastery

Bowtie, matrix, drag-and-drop, trend, highlight — I break down every NGN question type systematically. You'll learn the specific structure of each type and exactly how to approach it, so nothing on test day surprises you.

📈

Worst-Case Thinking for Prioritization

NCLEX loves prioritization and safety questions. My approach uses systematic worst-case scenario thinking so you always know which patient to see first and which actions to take, even when every answer looks reasonable.

What Students Say After Passing

Most of my NCLEX students come to me after one or more unsuccessful attempts. Whether it's your first try or your fifth — these are real results from real students.

★★★★★

"Aubrey helped me pass my NCLEX on the second try with 85 questions. She guided me through prioritization strategies — ABCs, acute vs. chronic — and was especially helpful with OB topics like fetal heart monitoring and OB pharmacology. I really appreciate her flexibility with scheduling. I highly recommend her."

★★★★★

"I had failed the NCLEX twice before finding Aubrey. She worked with me on content understanding, test-taking strategies, and NCLEX-style questions. After about 18 sessions I passed — I am now a licensed registered nurse. I could not have done it without her. Taking sessions with Aubrey was the best decision I ever made."

You're Learning from Someone Who Just Passed the NGN

I'm Aubrey — a BSN, RN working bedside in postpartum and antepartum care while pursuing my MSN in Nursing Education. I passed the Next Generation NCLEX in 85 questions on my first attempt. I've been tutoring nursing students since 2022, with 2,500+ hours of experience across NCLEX prep, nursing school support, and TEAS/HESI.

My approach to NCLEX prep is fundamentally different because I focus on clinical judgment — the actual thing the NCLEX measures — rather than content memorization. I teach you how to think through any question, regardless of the topic, so you walk into test day with a process, not just knowledge.

"I treat NCLEX prep as clinical judgment training, not content review. By the time you test, you shouldn't be memorizing — you should be thinking."

What You're Wondering

How many sessions do I need before my NCLEX?

It depends on your timeline and where you're starting. Most students test within 1–3 months of graduating, and I typically recommend 1–3 sessions per week during that window. We'll make a specific plan during your free consultation based on your test date and current readiness.

I've already failed the NCLEX — can you still help?

Absolutely, and honestly this is where tutoring has the most impact. We'll work through what went wrong — not just your content gaps, but your approach and reasoning patterns. Students who've failed once and come to tutoring often pass with significantly fewer questions the second time.

How do you teach the NGN question types?

I break down the structure of each NGN question type — what it's testing, how to read the stem, what the scoring logic is, and how to work through it systematically. We then practice each type repeatedly until the approach is automatic, not stressful.

Do I need to do anything between sessions?

Yes — active practice between sessions is part of the process. I'll give you direction on what to focus on and how to approach your self-study so that time compounds rather than going in circles. The more you put in between sessions, the faster you'll progress.

What if I cancel or need to reschedule?

24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or reschedules. You can do this directly through your Acuity confirmation email or by contacting me. Less than 24 hours notice will not receive a refund.

What's the 100% pass rate based on?

Every student who has completed ongoing tutoring with me has passed the NCLEX. That said, I can't guarantee outcomes — results depend on the effort you bring and how closely you follow the approach. What I can guarantee is that you'll have every tool, strategy, and framework you need.

I'm in a different time zone — does that work?

Yes — Acuity automatically shows my availability in your local time zone. Just make sure your device is set to the correct time zone before booking, and everything adjusts automatically.

What if I graduated a while ago and feel rusty?

Very common, and very workable. We'll do a targeted assessment of where your knowledge gaps are and prioritize from there. Re-testing after a gap is one of the most common scenarios I work with — you're not starting from zero, you just need to retrain your reasoning.
